OMGosh...I'm so tired today! Ren is sick but instead of doing the smart thing and cancelling our house to clean today I did it by myself. Oh my...I picked the wrong house to go solo. This beast of a house kicked my butt. What normally takes us 2 hours took me 5. I cut my finger while cleaning the knobs on the stove and I didn't have a bandaid. I searched all over her kitchen and no bandaids so I had to wrap my hand in paper towels (the right hand and I'm right handed) and wear a glove so that was kind of cumbersome. I finished at 1:45 and thought, oh good I have an hour to sit down before I have to pick up the kids and then I realized it's Wednesday. The kids get out at 2:15 on Wednesday. So much for relaxing a bit!
All three kids had gotten in trouble at school today. Even Savannah-the sweet one. Chance didn't get his work done and got in a fight with Aiden (Aiden went to the office so I hope it was more his fault than Chance's.) Evelyn couldn't keep on task in her class so had to go to a neighboring class to work for the day and little sweet one threw a temper tantrum because she didn't get the snack she wanted. Sheesh....What a day
We all went to McDonalds and got "chicken" nuggets and sundaes and said "screw it" really loud. That made the day better :)
Trevor called with a "oh no mom, my cable is going to be shut off in the morning, can you pleeeeease pay my past due?" Sigh... oh and by the way, can I bring over some laundry and dishes for your dishwasher? Grrrr......Yes, I guess so
It sounds like I'm complaining but I'm really not. My happy demeanor isn't coming through very well in this blog but I'm in a great mood. Just tired
Oh, we got our piano yesterday!!! Its beeee-uuuuu-teee-ful. It's a shiny black new Lyrica. It sounds so nice! We can't keep our hands off it! It's well worth the money I paid.
My next "save up" purchase is a new washing machine. I wont be as jazzed about it as the Lyrica but I hate the one we have. It's a pile of junk but that Sears warranty is still in effect (or is it affect?) so they just keep coming and "fixing" it. I want a red low efficiency washer to match the dryer Daniel bought last year. woo hoo...I could theoretically do laundry at night when everyone is sleeping if I had a new one. (not that I'm that big of a freak about laundry...Okay, I am but shhhh)
So, today in the car Savannah announces that she's going to ask God for a baby sister. She's a rotten kid. I told her not to pray for stuff like that....that's just mean (sarcasm) I told her to pray for a neice instead. (hint hint Britty) We settled on asking God for a puppy
Daniel is working until 11PM tonight so I'm on for dinner and bedtime.
Oh wanna here my latest? So I don't license my vehicles. Ever. Well, yesterday I got pulled over. Yikes. The cop goes "you haven't registered your car in 4 years?" I'm like um...yeah...it's too much money. She goes "I'll be right back." and goes to her squad car. (to get her handcuffs ready and start processing my impound) So, I'm sitting in my van at 8:30 AM after dropping the kids off...in my PAJAMAS with no make up on. Yeah, beauty queen. I call Ren and Daniel and say I think I'm going to need a ride here in a minute. The lady cop comes back with a ticket and says I can go. I just looked at her and said"really? You're not going to impound my car?" (I know...I probably should have just shut up and left) and she goes "you're a mom and you're in your pajamas. No, I'm not impounding your car...I've been there. Get it taken care of." Whew!!! Sweet woman. I can't believe my luck! I still have to drive it for another couple weeks. I have to wait for Daniel's tax return to get plates. For those of you who aren't in Nebraska...my tags are $2080 the last time I checked. yeah, two thousand dollars for a stupid tin plate on the back of my van.
I have my medication recert class tomorrow and have to take Trevor to his diversion checkup and take the girls out selling girl scout cookies so tomorrow is going to be a busy one
Oh, Isaiah just walked in with a 100% point card from school. My golden child today!
