Lots of nonsense

On Tuesday the kids and I went to the Children's Museum. What a trip those kids are. I felt sorry for the moms there with little kids (around 1-2) I remember running around crazy trying to keep track of four of them. You find one and have three other to chase down. This year has been a breeze. I sit by the fiberglass cow and knit. The last time we went we had a hard time locating Chance when it was time to go so I had him paged from the front desk. The kids remembered that and all of a sudden, I hear "Elaine Edwards, please come to front lobby. Savannah and Isaiah are waiting for you here." They thought that was really funny--paging mom...Little stinkers.

You gotta watch Savannah. We've always dubbed her "the sweet one" and she completely uses it. I was watching her talk to a family of three and all of a sudden, they give her a dirty look, get up from their chairs and walk away. I go over to her and ask "what was that all about?" and she says "I told them they were blocking the good toys." Naughty!!!

Chance painted around his eyes with big black circles and a lightning bolt scar on his forehead and ran around being Harry Potter the rest of the afternoon. He needs to work on the English accent ;)

I got a little turned around on the way home from the Children's Museum. Okay...a lot turned around and ended up on 108th and Maple (only about 100 blocks away!) so we went to that little Pizza Hut over there. It's a dive but the pizza is the same. When we were half done with our cheese only pizza (ugh) I texted Daniel and half-joking told him to scrap work and meet us for lunch. He was all over that but by the time we finished he still wasn't there. Oops...I told him we were on 120th and Maple instead of 108th and Maple... told ya I was all turned around

We were going to go to the zoo after I got done cleaning a house yesterday but by the time I got home, Trevor wanted to get back to Bellevue, I had to get Ren's Christmas present (better late than never! Suzanne...yours is still coming) and Isaiah couldn't find any clean clothes anyway. Isaiah finally gave up on the pants and wore pajamas all day. Chance was in his church clothes because I can't seem to get the laundry put away so we would have been a motley crew at the zoo.

Today is supposed to be beautiful. 55 degrees on December 29th. How cool is that?! The girls are still sleeping at 8:45 AM and I have a huge pile of junk all around me that I need to go through. I keep a wicker basket in the kitchen that is kind of my junk drawer. I had the silly notion to clean it out today so I have piles all around my computer and on the floor. I doubt I'll get it all done since I keep taking procrastination breaks to play Gardens of Time (playdom.com) , unload the dishwasher, make a kid breakfast, blog, or watch a netflix movie.

Speaking of Netflix, I discovered Catherine Cookson movies and they are really good. They have a Withering Heights kind of feel to them. They're romantic and WWI-era-ish. I'm really liking them. I stayed up until 1AM last night (or this morning) watching "The glass Virgin." Daniel says they are from an English mini-series. How in the world he knows about English mini-series is beyond me!

Brittany called yesterday and said she loves the scarf I sent her. I was worried. It took 5 balls of super bulky yarn. It's 8 inches wide and probably 6 feet long. It's what she asked for but I thought I misunderstood until she asked for anther one. I'm going to finish Clay's socks and Ren's beanie and start on another scarf for her. Britt--pick a color.

I hear Isaiah's new drum set turned up to the obnoxiously loud level so I better to quiet him down before it wakes up Sleeping One and Sleeping Two. Have a great day!
